In addition to my yoga and coaching offerings, I also offer a place to rest and reset on the East Coast of Tasmania. Welcome to Solitude Bicheno.
Every element has been considered to support a slower rhythm: one that allows for restoration, clarity, and calm. A soft green palette runs throughout, bringing the tones of the surrounding landscape inside. A yoga mat is provided for your own practice, and the space has intentionally excluded connectivity, with no TV or WiFi, to offer a deliberate disconnect and invite you to take the time to go within.
The kitchen, wardrobe and benches were crafted by a local Bicheno cabinet maker, with a granite benchtop in soft hues of green and pink sourced from a Tasmanian supplier. Wherever possible, Bicheno and Tasmanian tradespeople have been engaged to build this space, ready for you to enjoy.
Outside, the garden has been designed to work with, not against, our dry coastal climate: large natural boulders, native bushland, and slow-growing Tasmanian plantings, built for quiet rather than show. It's a garden of stone and stillness as much as green, and it will only deepen with time. Local residents wander through the property, and you may even spot one during your stay.
As part of your stay, I offer a complimentary one-on-one yin yoga or guided meditation session, tailored to your experience level and what you need from your time here, whether that's gentle movement, breathwork, or simply learning to sit still. For guests staying longer, additional sessions can be arranged for an additional cost.
